Meet the Team

Bruce Payne

Hey there! My name is Bruce Payne. I currently reside in Metro Detroit with my beautiful wife and 7 of our 9 children. I am originally from Southern California, and after spending a few years living just outside of Austin, Texas, my wife and I felt called to relocate and make the midwest our new home. My wife and I are both special education teachers by day and chauffeurs of our 7 kids by night, as we drive them to their various sports events.

I love spending time with my family. Most often that time is at a soccer field or hockey rink. In the rare chance we are free, I enjoy dating my best friend, my wife. Spending quality time cuddling on the couch, or enjoying a good meal with her.

Over the years I have taught, pastored, and coached, noticing a common theme. People are afraid to be quarterbacks. Meaning, they are hesitant in taking the reigns God has readily made available to them. Which has led me to Lion's Love Ministries.

Josh Hector

Howdy! I'm Josh, and my passions include traveling, hiking, and spending quality time with my wife, friends, and two dogs. I was born and raised in San Juan Capistrano, California. I had the privilege of attending Capistrano Valley Christian School from preschool through high school and was considered a "lifer" at CVCS. I am deeply grateful to my parents for raising me in a Christian home. They were exemplary role models who introduced me to Jesus Christ, leading me to commit to Him in sixth grade.

Throughout the years, I've built a strong foundation rooted in Christ's love, which has sustained me through life's various challenges. After high school, I pursued my academic aspirations, earning a bachelor's degree from the University of Oregon and two master's degrees from Concordia University-Irvine. In October 2024, I completed my Doctor of Education degree at Liberty University. My journey as a passionate servant leader is driven by a calling to bring people closer to God. Founding Lion's Love Ministries is a testament to this calling.
